Summer is upon us.  Jason and I hope that whatever you are doing this weekend, you have an excellent time with it.  For us, we will be photographing our dear friends Matthew and Amanda’s wedding tomorrow at Trinity Episcopal and the Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville.  Their celebration will be the first wedding for the Jefferson!   Matthew’s father is Chef Mike Wood of Have Food Will Travel.  His company will be catering the event.  Last week he invited us to come poke around the theater while he met with Brad Burke, the theater manager.  Brad was so generous to give us a tour of the entire space and let us roam around freely, play with the lights, etc.  We became so inspired and excited… the Jefferson has so much texture, shadow and lighting qualities.  There are just so many possibilities.  It’s also nice and cool inside… heard it’s going to be a hot one tomorrow.  Can’t wait to share our experience with all of you!

Harrisonburg residents JM and Lindsay celebrated their wedding ceremony at St. Francis Episcopal Church and their reception at Lindsay’s family’s residence in Great Falls.  Great Falls is a beautiful, magical place located in Fairfax County.  I kept saying to myself, what a wonderful place to grow up and get married.  I think that there is just something so special in having a wedding take place at home, surrounded by loved ones.  The atmosphere was elegant, yet laid back.  Lindsay wore a stunning gown by Romona Kaveza.   Congratulations to her and JM on their marriage, and wonderful job on putting together a dream team of wedding professionals.  Together we all helped make the day unforgettable.  Sara Franklin of Social Scene Events was wonderful with coordination, the floral designs by Alison De Wit were absolutely gorgeous, Design Cuisine provided an exquisite dinner and wedding cake, and Randy Platts of MSE Productions kept everyone boogying on the dance floor.
